On January 15 and 16, 2025, Marca by BolognaFiere brought together the best of Modern Organized Distribution (DMO), reaffirming its position as a key event for the sector. FLO Group participated within the stand of the Il Buon Gusto Italiano network, continuing its mission to combine innovation and sustainability in the world of tableware and food packaging.

The Alpha Line: The Future of Disposable Tableware

The undisputed star of the event was the Alpha line, a collection of compostable tableware made with plant fibers and Qwarzo®, designed for mass consumption. During the two days of the fair, Alpha demonstrated its unique features: more than 500 gourmet meals were served daily at the stand, prepared by Chef Cesare Veronesi with support from the students of the Castel San Pietro Culinary Institute. Visitors and industry professionals were able to personally test the high quality and durability of the tableware, discovering its effectiveness with all types of dishes, whether hot or cold.

A Focus on Sustainability: The Conference “Beyond Appearances”

Among the most notable events was the conference titled “Beyond Appearances: The Sustainability of Food Packaging”, organized by ProFood, which drew a large audience to the Madrigale hall. Marco Omboni, Sales Manager Packaging at FLO Group, explained how food packaging can integrate circular economy principles and environmental respect. He highlighted the sustainability of FLO’s new containers made from post-consumer recycled plastic, including R-Hybrid, the first vending cup made with R-plastic, and yogurt pots crafted with recycled polystyrene.

The presentation emphasized FLO Group’s commitment to blending design, functionality, and sustainability, helping to redefine industry standards.

The 2025 edition of Marca ended with impressive results: the Il Buon Gusto Italiano stand welcomed hundreds of visitors each day, serving as a hub of excellence and innovation. With a setup made entirely with Alpha tableware and the collaboration of 31 exhibitors, the network demonstrated that sustainability can be a central element of corporate strategy.
