We adopt responsible industrial behaviour to ensure sustainable economic growth for the environment, people and the land.

Awareness and transparency
the basis of our choices

We are convinced that a Governance capable of defining a strategy integrated with ESG principles can guarantee the solidity of the business in the long term, transforming market challenges into real opportunities for innovation and differentiation, while pursuing a continuous improvement agenda.
We regularly measure and monitor our Group’s ESG parameters and report them in the Sustainability Report. This gives substance and rigour to our actions, in a transparent manner towards our stakeholders.

Responsibility and listening
at the heart of our business

We promote the development of a sustainable business model by listening to all stakeholders with the aim of accepting and anticipating their interests with an attitude of collaboration and respect. Collaboration and respect are the basis of a positive and lasting relationship between people. To corroborate this concept we have created the corporate code of ethics, a document that enshrines our commitment to act responsibly with fairness, honesty, loyalty and good faith, requiring all recipients of the Code of Ethics to recognise, promote and realise these same values.

The importance of ecodesign

At the FLO Group, we are aware that the environmental impact of a product is already determined at the design stage. That is why we design our products according to the multi-disciplinary approach of ecodesign, with the aim of guaranteeing the primary functions of the product while also considering its interaction with the environment.
The presence of a team of LCA Experts allows us to assess during the design phase the potential life cycle impact of the product through LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) studies: in this way, we are able to choose the solution that on the one hand guarantees the functionality and suitability of the product and on the other hand minimises its impact on the environment. Not only that, the LCA also allows us to understand in detail the possible environmental issues linked to our processes and to develop projects that integrate sustainability aims into production logics.

Preserving resources

All our products are designed with a sustainable end-of-life in mind, which is why they are all made from materials that can be recovered and recycled efficiently on a large scale. In order to facilitate proper recovery, we have acted on several fronts:

Product labelling

Product labelling

We have improved consumer information on the packaging of our products by using intuitive infographics and QRcodes with content that raises awareness of proper material recovery.

Collaboration with trade associations

Collaboration with trade associations

Thanks to our participation in working groups of trade associations, we have a say in the definition of quality standards to improve the performance of plastic collection.

Circular Economy Projects

Circular Economy Projects

We were the first to produce vending cups with recycled PS plastic, which add to our offer of food containers with r-PET. We are promoters of the RiVending project for the recovery and recycling of plastic cups.
