Design according to ecodesign principles, laboratory studies and research into new environmentally friendly materials form the basis of FLO commitment for innovation.
Research and development is at the heart of the FLO Group’s innovation. Staying up-to-date on new materials and experimenting with innovative solutions for ever more technical and functional products is fundamental to maintaining a relevant position in today’s ever-changing packaging market. Driven by this awareness, and our culture of continuous improvement, we strive every day to exceed the limits imposed on the industry through customised research and development, laboratory analysis and ecodesign studies.
Our applied research laboratory
Headquarters: Fontanellato (PR)
The FLO laboratory for Applied Research is based in the Fontanellato factory, where the laboratory team operates both in the design phase, from the study of materials to the validation of geometries and prototyping, and in the evaluation phase, that is howfinished and industrialised products behave when they undergo stress tests and chemical-physical tests simulating how they would behave when commonly used.
The FCP Lab analytical laboratory
Headquarters: Verona (VR)
FCPLAB is an independent analytical laboratory accredited by ACCREDIA according to ISO 17025, located in our Verona headquarters and specialised in chemical, physical-mechanical and microbiological analyses on food packaging.
This laboratory works not only for all our Group companies, but also for the external market, since it guarantees competence, independence and impartiality.
Aptitude for ‘made-to-measure’
A new project always starts with listening to customers’ needs, with whom we actively collaborate to create customised solutions. We are aware that there is no such thing as perfect packaging, but there are products that are better than others for certain contexts and uses.
